The Payment Gateways Settings page in Blinksale allows you to connect and manage various payment processing options, enabling your clients to pay invoices electronically. By setting up payment gateways, you can offer convenient payment options to your clients, accelerate your cash flow, and automate your payment reconciliation process.

Setting Up Payment Gateways

Connecting BlinksalePay

To activate BlinksalePay:
  1. Navigate to Settings → Payment Gateways
  2. Find the BlinksalePay card
  3. Click the Connect button
  4. Follow the simple verification process
  5. Once connected, toggle the switch to activate the gateway

Connecting Other Gateways

Stripe

  1. Click Connect on the Stripe card
  2. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s website to complete the connection
  3. Grant permission for Blinksale to connect to your Stripe account
  4. After successful connection, you’ll be returned to Blinksale with Stripe activated

PayPal

  1. Click Connect on the PayPal card
  2. Follow the PayPal OAuth flow to link your PayPal account
  3. Approve the connection permissions
  4. After connection, toggle the switch to activate the gateway

Coinbase Commerce

  1. Click Connect on the Coinbase card
  2. Enter your Coinbase Commerce API Key and Webhook Secret
  3. These can be found in your Coinbase Commerce dashboard
  4. Click Connect to finalize the integration

Managing Payment Gateways

Activating and Deactivating Gateways

For each connected gateway, you can:
  1. Toggle the switch to enable or disable payment processing
  2. Inactive gateways remain connected but will not appear as payment options on invoices
  3. You can reactivate a gateway at any time without reconnecting

Disconnecting a Gateway

To remove a payment gateway:
  1. Find the gateway card
  2. Click the Disconnect button
  3. Confirm the disconnection in the dialog
  4. The gateway will be removed and will require reconnection to use again

Payment Options on Invoices

After connecting and activating payment gateways:
  1. They become available as payment options on your invoices
  2. Clients can choose any enabled payment method when viewing their invoice
  3. Payments are automatically recorded in Blinksale when processed
  4. Invoices are marked as paid once payment is complete

Payment Gateway Status Indicators

Each gateway card shows its current status:
  • Active: Connected and processing payments (green badge)
  • Inactive: Connected but not processing payments (gray badge)
  • Not Connected: Gateway needs to be set up (orange badge)

  • Regularly review your connected payment gateways
  • Disconnect any gateways you’re no longer using
  • Check the status of your gateways periodically to ensure they’re functioning properly
